Forza Horizon 6 Update 5 brings the British Automotive Update to the game, combining new cars, Drift Attack, special dealership changes, and a preview of the next update. For players looking for new ways to build their garage or earn Forza Horizon 6 Credits, this update offers several interesting opportunities. While only some of the announced vehicles are completely new to the wider Forza franchise, there is still plenty of fresh content to explore throughout the month.

Three New Festival Playlist Cars

The Festival Playlist introduces three main vehicles that players can unlock without purchasing additional DLC. The first is the 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed, which requires 80 Playlist points during the month. Powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, this luxury performance car produces nearly 800 horsepower and 744 lb-ft of torque. Its large size may not make it the obvious choice for competitive racing, but it could be surprisingly enjoyable for smooth drifting.

The second vehicle is the 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior. Players can earn it with 20 points during the Summer season. Its 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine produces roughly 100 horsepower, but the car's lightweight construction makes it a proper little racing machine. Although it previously appeared in Forza Motorsport, it is still a notable addition to Horizon. Many players will likely hope that the G40 Junior eventually becomes part of the game's Spec Racing rotation.

The final Festival Playlist vehicle is the 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR, available for 20 points during Winter. With a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing around 230 horsepower and front-wheel drive, the Astra VXR fits perfectly into the hot-hatch category. Its racing potential also makes it an interesting platform for future customization and track builds.

Car Pass Brings More Performance

The Car Pass adds another group of vehicles for players who own the DLC. One of the biggest highlights is the 2025 McLaren W1. Powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 producing more than 1,200 horsepower, the W1 represents the latest chapter in McLaren's legendary line of flagship performance cars. Its arrival gives Horizon players another modern hypercar to experiment with.

The 2023 Dodge Demon 170 is another major addition. Its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 produces more than 1,000 horsepower and 950 lb-ft of torque. The real-world car is famous for its extreme straight-line performance and ability to lift its front wheels during launches. While its Horizon performance may not perfectly match its real-world reputation, the Demon 170 remains one of the most requested additions for many players.

The 1998 Renault Sport Spider offers something completely different. With a 2.0-liter engine producing around 150 horsepower, it is a lightweight sports car designed more around agility and driving enjoyment than outright power. Meanwhile, the 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Luftauto 002 provides an exciting off-road option. Its reinforced chassis, redesigned suspension, KW coilovers, and 3.2-liter flat-six make it particularly attractive for players who enjoy unusual Porsche builds.

Jaguar XJS and Drift Attack

Another major feature of Update 5 is the 1990 Jaguar XJS. The standard version is being added to the Auto Show, while a special Forza Edition can be unlocked through Drift Attack.

Drift Attack functions as a drift-focused time attack mode. Players race through a dedicated drift course, hit clipping points, and attempt to achieve the highest possible drift score. It provides a different type of challenge compared with traditional circuit racing and gives the XJS a fitting way to enter the game.

The update also introduces a temporary British-themed dealership at the stadium. Players may have the opportunity to find rare vehicles such as the 2019 Aston Martin DBS and 1961 Jaguar E-Type. These cars could become interesting auction-house targets after the dealership period ends, although their future prices are not guaranteed.

What About the McLaren Senna?

One notable absence from Update 5 is the McLaren Senna. According to the source material, rumors suggest that licensing complications involving the Senna name may be preventing the car from being added at this time. However, this has not been officially confirmed, so players should treat the explanation as speculation rather than established fact.

Looking Ahead to Update 6

Update 6 will introduce the “Horizon Meets” theme, including temporary 7-Eleven-themed evolving-world content, permanent EventLab additions, new-to-Horizon cars, and a new profile badge. The temporary nature of some of the content has already generated discussion among players who would prefer certain world features to remain permanently available.

Overall, Update 5 gives Forza Horizon 6 players a mixture of British performance cars, modern hypercars, unusual sports cars, and new drifting activities. Whether you prefer collecting rare vehicles, experimenting with builds, or using FH6 Credits to accelerate your progress, the British Automotive Update provides plenty of reasons to return to the Horizon Festival.
